Detailed requirements analysisWe repeatedly see customers approaching us with a specific request for a particular training course, but during the requirements analysis it becomes clear that the desired measure is not the optimal solution for the customer.
This is often because the underlying cause has not been identified, or at least not fully: over time, both individuals and organizations develop habits, processes, and behavior patterns that become so second nature to those involved that they are no longer consciously perceived or questioned. In such cases, the need for action that was originally identified is often not the actual cause, but merely a symptom.
Our many years of management and training experience and our position as “outsiders” enable us to recognize such situations and identify the root cause.
How does a typical needs assessment work?
✅ One or more meetings lasting a total of approx. 30-90 minutes
✅ Structured interview to identify the root cause of the need for action, the objectives, the target group, any measures already implemented, and any organizational or personal constraints
✅ Written summary of the information gathered to check for accuracy and completeness
What other options are available?
In more complex or unclear situations, we also offer the following consulting services:
Extended requirements analysis: Interviews with relevant stakeholders or representatives of the target group to determine the need for action as seen by them, preparation of the results and holding of a workshop to interpret them and define appropriate measures
Design and implementation of an (anonymous) employee survey to identify the actual need for action
A subsequent repeat of the employee survey allows the effectiveness of the measures implemented to be verified.
